WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY?
Breast Thermography is a completely safe, adjunctive screening tool. It does not use radiation or compression to screen for breast cancer. It uses state of the art technology that assesses heat and detects abnormalities in the breast through infrared technology. Early detection of cancer can greatly improve treatment options and overall outcome. We encourage you to start with a Full Body scan as comparative exams can create a baseline for monitoring your health based on thermal changes.
Medical Thermography is safe for men, women and children. A Full Body exam can be used to assess: Breasts, Thyroid, Cerebrovascular Screening, Intestinal Inflammation, Hormone Imbalances, Back Pain, Vein Thrombosis, Nerve Pathology, Circulation and Arthritis. We offer screening for breast only, head and torso or full body. Male screening includes a testicular view with the option to be performed by a male technician.

The Index Medicus, a comprehensive index of medical scientific journal articles, references more than 800 peer-reviewed breast thermography studies, in which over 250,000 women participated. Many of these studies involved very large groups of patients (from 37,000 to over 100,000) and some have followed patients for as much as 12 years. Among other conclusions, these studies found that when thermography has been added to a woman’s regular breast health checkups, a 61% increased survival rate was realized, and when used as part of a multi-model approach (clinical examination, mammography and thermography) 95% of early stage cancers will be detected. It is well known that early detection is the best defense against breast cancer and that, if treated in the earliest stages, a 95% cure rate is achieved. The “cure” is early detection.

Sarah Herlickson and her husband Tim opened their thermography business April 2019 north of Seattle in the beautiful Skagit Valley, home of the well-known, annual Tulip Festival. Our thermography office is located in Skagit Valley with easy access from Bellingham, Snohomish County or the San Juan Islands. Inside our office, you will find a peaceful and private setting where the patient is scanned behind a privacy screen for their comfort during the screening process.
